Innovative or negative
One plus one is two; something tasty with something tasty will add up yummy. Well not quite the same in the following cases:

Hot dog is nice; chocolate is nice, cream is nice; but when they are servicing together, the taste is doubtable.

This ramen burger is more convincing as it uses the ramen to replace the bun.

Mac ‘n Cheese - all familiar tasty ingredients (cream, cheese, cream cheese, and fries). Mac n Cheese sandwich- more or less the same cooking method. Just one thing need to be careful of- it contains about 1690 calories and 99 grams of fat.

Chocolate chip cookies filled with grilled cheese? Looks weird and probably tastes weird too.
There are many more ‘innovative’/ unusual foods, like donut cake, spaghetti bread/ sandwich, deep fired sushi roll, meatloaf- made by most kinds of meat- chicken roll on top of pork then on top of beef then duck. Maybe everyone can be a creative and innovative chef, all you need to do it to find a person who dares to have a taste of it and come back for it.
