2017 kitchen design trend
After a happy enjoyable Chinese News Year we wish everyone a healthy and wealthy year. Let’s have a look at some of the 2017 kitchen trends and see how we could have a good new start starting from our kitchen.

Although having a tidy and clean workstation is most of our first priority in ‘kitchen rule’. But in 2017, the new trend will be focusing on both i) workstation and ii) storage. In order to have a good kitchen, having a workable workstation is a significant factor which allow us to have a space to prepare our meals. In which, appliances (such as microwave and oven) should be installed and located at a suitable place so the kitchen will look bigger, neat and makes the original kitchen design stand out more. Additionally we should increase our kitchen storage and to find a way to store our stuffs where is not at the workstation and where is convenience to us.
Somehow a basket or an accessory would be the solution.

In terms of colour, creamy colour, contrast colour (such as black and white) and darker colour are getting more popular in the recent years. Some people like to go for a dark or bold colour such as black or bright red. The important factor is to choose the colour that you like and combine the colour with the design to represent your own unique style.

Another new trend in 2017 is handleless. There is an increasing amount of designer and end-user decides to go for a ‘handleless kitchen’, especially family with children. They will either install the soft-touch open/ close function or have the cabinet / drawer door panel special designed.

Apart from the handleless, some will in fact have the automatic kitchen cabinet, with just one press of the button, your cabinet will be opened and closed automatically. And of cause, they can be opened and closed manually as well.
