Room Transformation
Design means creating an idea, a plan or a drawing to show the look, function, purpose or working of an object before it is made and produced.
Interior design means the art/ process of designing and decorating the interior which often including the exterior of a room and/ or building.
Above sentences may seem too official and obvious but in fact these terms are closely related to our life and well design and interior design will benefit us in many ways.
Below are the classical examples of how the room been transferred into a much more useful and bigger room (although the size of the room did not change).
Left: before Right: after
The first thing you would probably is the change of the colour. It had changed from a yellow/ brown-ish to blue/green-ish. It brightens the room and provides a clean and modern feeling after the transformation.
The other thing you would see was the wall shelves. It does not only increase the storage but keep the room tidy too.
Left: before Right: after
Again, the room had been changed from grey to a colour-pattern wall paper, it gives out more energy. And the new carpet matches the room very well too in this case.
After the transformation, the room actually looks bigger, and with the help of the wall shelves and cabinet, spaces are well used and the increased storages make life more convenience to the user.
Such small changes will make a huge impact of life. A good design and interior design are so important no matter it is a big project (decorate the whole house) or small changes (transferring a room). |
